What is a CBD Product

Harvard Medical School explains what is CBD. "CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is the second most prevalent of the active ingredients of cannabis (marijuana). While CBD is an essential component of medical marijuana, it is derived directly from the hemp plant, which is a cousin of the marijuana plant. While CBD is a component of marijuana (one of hundreds), by itself it does not cause a “high.”

The interest in CBD is due to the very interesting possibilities that CBD may help conditions like chronic pain, insomnia, anxiety, etc. Please visit the Harvard Medical School site for more details.

The Human Body and Essential Oils site hosted a talk with Doctor Oil Olivier Wenker to clarify some of the issues.

Mr. Wenker advised that by mixing CBD with terpene laden essential oils (such as Frankincense or Hong Kuai), Young Living members can enjoy another option in their journey to achieve wellness.

And, with the recent deregulation of CBD by the US government, Young Living will possibly release a CBD product, maybe as early as 2019.
